The DynoByte app

DynoByte has no telemetry, analytics or crash reporting. It does not send your table data, queries or usage anywhere except to the AWS endpoints you connect to.

It reads profile names, regions and non-secret IAM Identity Center settings from your AWS config files. Credential values are read only by the AWS SDK and are never stored, logged or displayed by DynoByte.

It writes to your AWS files only when you ask: adding a new connection, or saving an SSO sign-in to ~/.aws/sso/cache. It remembers your last profile and region, and your Favorites (a name, colour, profile and region).

Table data is never cached to disk.

Two features contact something other than AWS, and only when you use them: entering a licence key checks it with Polar, our payment provider; and update checks, which are off until you turn them on.

This website

No cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Your theme choice is saved in your browser only.

If you send the beta form, your name, email, choice and message are emailed to me through Amazon SES and kept in my inbox. To limit abuse, the form records your IP address with a two-hour expiry, after which it is deleted automatically. Ask and I will delete your details.

The site is served by Amazon CloudFront, which keeps standard access logs only if they are switched on. They are not.

Payments

When sales open, purchases are handled by Polar (polar.sh) as merchant of record. Polar processes your payment details and issues your licence key; I never see your card.
